Auditions

Auditions for our next short play festival, TR7, will take place on Saturday, February 21st, from 12:30-3:30 at Thurber Center (91 Jefferson Avenue). You will not need to be there the whole time. Auditions will be readings in groups of 1-3 people, depending on who is present and what scenes the directors want to see.

• No specific appointments, resumes, or monologue prep necessary! Auditions will be cold reads from a few of the short plays that will be performed in the festival.

• This short play festival will have one performance on May 1 at 8 PM, and two performances on May 2 (one at 2 PM and one at 8 PM).

• There will be two tech rehearsals in the week leading up to the performances (April 28 & April 29).

• All tech rehearsals and performances will be in the Shedd Theatre (549 Franklin Ave, Columbus, OH 43215). Each short play will have 4-6 rehearsals (per director discretion) at meeting places determined by the director (these are often public library conference/meeting rooms).

• If you can't make it to these auditions but would still like to throw your hat in the ring, email theatrereset@gmail.com a video of yourself performing a monologue of approximately one minute in length by 11:59 PM on February 19.

• Whether you are auditioning via video or in person, you will need to fill out the audition form to let us know important info such as your contact information and your conflicts between February 25 and May 2, 2026.
